Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)

All members of the Imagine Foundations Public Charter School community strive to be models of good character, upholding the vision of the school’s core values and communicating this vision through positive interactions with students, staff members, parents, and others. One of the most visible displays of this interaction involves family and community member participation in the parent-teacher organization (PTO).

Like most schools, Imagine Foundations maintains an active PTO as a way to provide the families of our students with a voice to speak on behalf of every child and the best tools to help their children be safe, healthy, and successful — in school and in life. The mission of the Imagine Foundations PTO is to establish and nurture a close relationship between the parents, teachers, and students by advancing opportunities in the home, school, and community of the school.

Welcome, Parents!

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Imagine Foundations. We hope your summer was enjoyable and that your kids are ready to learn. The PTO wanted to let you know we have some exciting things in the works for this school year. First, with the addition of three teachers to the PTO board, we have truly made this a “Parent-Teacher” organization. As the school has grown so have the responsibilities of the PTO. We plan on adding committees for those parents who want to volunteer and can commit to specific tasks. These committee sign-up’s will be held at the first PTO meeting. We would love for parents to come out and support the school and the events that we have planned. The school has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 in order to recoup some of the unexpected expenses from renovations. These renovations were necessary to provide you with the best possible school.

The PTO will be establishing weekly communications with parents via email, and all documents will be uploaded to this website. In order to gain access to these communications and other important events, please submit your 2011-2012 PTO Membership Enrollment Form so that we can communicate with you. The school website is a valuable resource for parents to use as well.

The PTO provides assistance to teachers in classroom settings, raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent-teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
